Small sandy beach in the well protected cove located directly beneath the Temple of Poseidon is located approximately 68 kilometers southeast of downtown Athens. Shortly before arriving at the temple of Poseidon on the dirt road turn left and after few meters you come across a small creek desert. Blue waters and views of Makronisos. There is no beach but the imposing of the region will enchant you. Within walking distance you will find cafes and food.

The new Lavrio Olympic Marina is only 20 minutes from the Athens International Airport (IATA: ATH) and the main gate to the Cyclades Islands. It offers 680 permanent berths, a boat repair facility and many other yacht services.
Immediately to the west of Cape Sounion there is a small bay that is, unfortunately, often full of boats, but from there you can visit one of Greece's most beautiful ancient sites : Poseidon's Temple. It can be seen from quite a distance on its rocky pedestal.
'Elias' is the name of a small waterside taverna in Cape Sounio lying on the edge of the bay with a breathtaking view on the Temple of Posiedon atop the cliffs.
Chill over a delicious seafood feast washed down with a good local wine or ouzo and watch the sunset from the picturesque bay.
Small sandy beach with Thyme fine gravel is shortly after the Old Fokea and beachside tavernas, located 55 kilometers southeast of downtown Athens. Shortly after the Old Fokea and taverns, you'll see the sign 'Thymari'.
In the bay of Thorikos under the famous ancient theater and the twin hills typical Small and Large Velatouri with the remains of the Mycenaean citadel, the beach is not suitable for swimming because the water is contaminated with various industrial wastes. From Attiki Odos towards Lavrion arrive then to Cape Sounion. There is a brand new marina and you will see a sign with the name of the beach (small) when you turn left.
Extensive sandy beach in front of the resort village of Old Fokea is located 56 kilometers southeast of downtown Athens. The Old Bay Fokeas offers many opportunities for swimming and windsurfing.
It lies 59 kilometers from Athens via inland and 72 km through the coastal Sounio Ave. There is a beach that offers clear blue waters.

Arriving at Cape Sounion, instead of turning on the triangle to the Posedona to go straight and second or third street (dirt road) turn right and you will soon find yourself on a sandy beach that is not widely known, but only locally. It is not organized, so make sure to the essentials.

The first choice for those seeking a freestyler feeling in diving, the beach level Legraina combines Cycladic fine, golden sand and azure waters and lack of crowds.
Towards the Legraina, but well before you get there, you encounter on your right a sign that says in large letters visible 'property CRES'. At that point turn right and follow the road until the first big flat (no more than 4 minutes road).
