Lavreotiki is a municipality at the southeasternnmost tip of the Attica peninsula in the Greek prefecture of East Attica. Its municipal seat is the town of Lavrio and each point of, either in town or in the suburbs, has something important to show about Greek industrial and architectural development; a visit to Lavreotiki seems like a training seminar on the evolution of Greek culture from antiquity to the present day. It is situated on a bay overlooking the island of Makronisos in the east and has many beautiful beaches.
Navigational Aids
The new Lavrio Olympic Marina is only 20 minutes from the Athens International Airport (IATA: ATH) and the main gate to the Cyclades Islands. It offers 680 permanent berths, a boat repair facility and many other yacht services.
In the bay of Thorikos under the famous ancient theater and the twin hills typical Small and Large Velatouri with the remains of the Mycenaean citadel, the beach is not suitable for swimming because the water is contaminated with various industrial wastes. Gathered on the beach with enough interest in windsurfing.
From Attiki Odos towards Lavrion arrive then to Cape Sounion. There is a brand new marina and you will see a sign with the name of the beach (small) when you turn left.

Arriving at Cape Sounion, instead of turning on the triangle to the Posedona to go straight and second or third street (dirt road) turn right and you will soon find yourself on a sandy beach that is not widely known, but only locally. It is not organized, so make sure to the essentials.
