Kampaki Beach
Exploring Ios Sailing Holidays area
Kambaki is among the most secluded beaches on Ios located on the north western side of the island. The unspoilt beach of Kambaki gives a lovely scenery with azure waters and peaceful atmosphere. There are no tourist facilities and the only way to go there is hiking or by boat. The distance is about 10 km from Chora. The seabed has few rocks, so it is not totally comfortable for swimming. However, the secluded environment provides a great chance for absolute privacy.
Navigational Aids
Karavostasi is the port of the island and it is only a somewhat secure anchorage. While you can anchor off, it is not safe with a strong meltemi (the Etesians).
Skala or Alopronia is the harbor and only anchorage in Sikinos. The harbor is shallow with very limited room to manoeuvre and little space for yachts.
This is a small harbor on the East coast of the island. The shelter here is reasonable but there is some swell with the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians).
Skala ThÃra or Skala Fira is the main harbor and where the cruise ships call. It is not really a harbor but a quay.
Port Ios or Yialos is the only port on the island. It provides excellent shelter from the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians) but during the peak holiday period it is so noisy with l disco music and loud beer parties, that it is impossible to sleep.
Athinios is a small commercial harbor about 3 nM south of Skala. It is usually crowded with small cargo ships.
Parikia is the main commercial harbor of the island. It is a fairly busy and noisy harbor but it is an excellent shelter form the meltemi (the Etesians) (the Etesians) and from the south winds.
It is located in the town of Naxos and has more than 30 horses and ponies. It is opened every day during the summer and offers two rides daily including evening sunset riding.
The volcano of Santorini has the largest caldera in the world with a height of 300m and a diameter of 11km. Nea Kameni is the biggest tourist attraction due to its healing hot springs.
