A solitary cove with a lovely beach and crystal clear waters. It is located on the southwest side of the island and can be accessed from Stavropeda. The distance is around 2 km, half of which is dirt road. The beach is unorganized, only in Stavropeda can someone find a cafe-bar.
Paraporti is the south coast of the two beaches, on the sides of the peninsula of Hora. It has a nice and big sandy beach and beautiful surroundings, with a charming river with ducks, the Venetian Castle on the left and the Tourlitis lighthouse a little further away.
After arriving at the settlement of Paleopolis located on the west coast of the island, you follow the path with the steps descending the hillside to this pebbly beach. The entire area is full of scattered antiquities, such as a great part of the ancient port and the ancient market (agora).
