Preveli Beach or Foinikas is also called as the southern coast of Crete, 38 km south of the town of Rethymno, below the monastery of Preveli. Located about 20 minutes after the historic Monastery of Preveli.
Through the village Lefkogia starts a bad asphalt road (3 km) to the sheltered sandy beach with turquoise Shinaria waters. The beach is fairly sheltered from strong winds.
Sandy beach about 6-7 km east of Plakias resort, about 3 km from Lefkogia and 10 minutes walk from the beach Damnoni. Several beach sheltered from strong winds.
Continuing east from Damnoni (the car goes up a point and then you must continue on foot), abandoned after the disco will find the small, beautiful, almost deserted, sandy beach. Organized beach with sun beds, umbrellas, eating ability, etc.

Approximately 47 km from Rethymnon at the South West and 2 miles south of Peach village, is the beach of Korakas, a sandy beach open to the south and exposed to the winds. It is a well organized beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, bars, etc.
At about 47 km southwest of Rethymno and after the beach Korakas will find three pebbled beaches affected by the wind. The two beaches at the end of the dirt is pretty organized.
