The huge new Marina di Scarlino lies 12 miles ESE of the port of Piombino and 20 miles E of the northernmost tip of the island of Elba. It provides a total of 960 berths for yachts up to 36 metres on seven pontoons (most with fingers) and associated quays. The marina is a good base for exploring the hinterland of Tuscany or embarking on a cruise to Elba and onwards to Corsica or the islands of the Tuscan archipelago.
