Porto Interno, the inner harbour, is formed by two arms. The S arm, Seno di Levante, contains the main cargo berths and is partially dredged to a depth of 11. 5 m. The W arm, Seno di Ponente, contains a large number of general purpose berths, including a hydrofoil terminal at its W end and a number of pontoon berths for pleasure craft having all the usual facilities. Several numbered mooring buoys are laid within this area.
