San Spirito is a small village with a number of modern buildings, situated in a cove 5 miles WNW of Bari. The harbour, suitable for fishing boats, is formed by a breakwater and a mole extending respectively about 190 m from the W entrance point to the cove and 150 m NW from the E entrance point. The entrance, facing E between the heads of the breakwater and the mole, has depths of about 6 m, and within the harbour there are general depths of 2 to 3 m. Local knowledge is required.
