The dredged entrance channel between Isola di Pellestrina and Isola di Malamocco, leads between two breakwaters to the confluence of five channels; Canale di San Pietro and Canale Spignon, both minor channels which lead S to Chioggia, Canale Rocchetta and Canale Fisolo, both minor channels which lead N to Venezia, and Canale San Leonardo.
