Porto Basèleghe is an inlet formed by the entrance to Canale dei Lovi and is almost wholly obstructed by sandbanks. A channel, marked on both sides by dolphins, whose width is much reduced because the dolphins on the E side are covered with sand (reported 2000), leads NE from the vicinity of the W side of the entrance to a marina at Basèleghe, E side of the inlet, and is accessible to vessels of up to 1. 5 m draught. The channel is subject to silting. Local knowledge is required.
