Rapallo is a small craft and yacht harbour, fronting the popular all-year tourist resort, which lies at the head of a small bay at the head of Golfo Tigullio; Rio Boate and Rivo Tuia flow into the harbour. Anchorage can be obtained in depths of 12 to 18 m, mud, good holding ground off Rapallo. However the anchorage is very exposed and only suitable in good weather. Mariners should note an extensive area of foul ground 1 mile ESE and the sewer outfall extending SSE from the harbour. Mariners with local knowledge may obtain anchorage in the N part of the harbour.
