Isola di Palmarola is the uninhabited W island of Isole Pontine. The island has high, irregular coasts which are difficult to access. Despite its barren appearance parts of the island are cultivated by the islanders of Ponza. Isola di Palmarola has two principal peaks; Monte Tramontana (40°56′7N, 12°51′5E) in the N and Monte Guarniere (40°55′8N, 12°51′4E) in the S.
