The inlet is entered between Punta Campanella and a headland 0. 6 mile E. The shores are rocky and steep and depths within the inlet are considerable; a gravel beach occupies the head of Seno di Ieranto. With local knowledge small vessels can obtain anchorage at the head of the inlet.
