Magazia beach is found within a ten-minute walk down the hill from Skyros town, where a long stairway brings you to its dark sand. As it is the main beach of the only main town on the island, Chora, it can get rather crowded in the high summer season. With lovely beachfront taverns, this beach is a hotspot for bathing and basking. The long beach stretches for 800 meters, reaching the nearby village of Molos. The beach offers different types of hotels providingtourists not only a plethora of choices but also different water sport activities. The beach has a coral reef just off its coast with pretty high waves in the area.
