Sailing Holidays in Frikes Harbor
In the SW part of the head of the bay Frikes the namesake small harbor has been built, open E, about 100 m wide, with depths of 7.9 m in the middle. It is protected from waves caused by E winds by a mole of NNW direction, 70 m long, 4 m wide and 0.8 m high, with a parapet and natural boulders on its outer side.
At the outer (E) root of mole there is a ramp with dimensions of 12×12 m and a height of 0.8 m. The ramp is used by a local ferry which makes the local communications in summer. The SE coasts of the small harbor are quayed for about 75 m, with a small jetty 6 m long and 3 m wide at their end. Inland from the small harbor the houses of Fríkes settlement are located (population 50).
