In Chora Sfakion there is a beautiful cave named Daskalogianni cave.It can only be reached by boat, because it is located between rocks on the shore. The cave is about 30 meters (98.4 feet) with a height of 4 meters (13 feet) long. During the Cretan revolution, it functioned as a mint.Its name comes from Daskalogianni, the Cretan military leader.
