The beach is about Koudouma 80 km from Heraklion. It took its name from the monastery Koudouma is there, part of which is built inside a cave. The crystal clear waters of secluded beach is always calm, and a well protected from winds. The beach is not organized and does not offer comfort. It looks at the Libyan Sea.
