Sailing Holidays in Luka Krijal

Luka Krijal (44°20′N 14°36′E) where there are two moles is situated on the NE side of a channel formed and protected by a reef, which is about 1 mile long and steep-to on its SW side and which lies parallel with, and about 370 meters off the SW coast of Otok Premuda. On this reef there are a number of barren islets and above-water rocks, the largest of which is Hrid Masarine. The remainder are best seen from the chart, noting in particular a detached above-water rock close SE of Hrid Bračić at the SE end of the reef. There is no passage between the dangers on the reef. Luka Krijal is not recommended as an anchorage in NW winds. In winds from the E semi-circle, vessels may anchor off the chapel of Sveti Krijal, or NE of Hrid Hripa, 0. 3 miles W of the chapel, in 13 to 15 m. Local knowledge is required. In other winds vessels may anchor in 6 to 7 m sand, good holding, about 370 meters SE of the chapel, but with swinging room constrained by the rocky bank extending E from Hrid Masarine.
