Preko harbour (44°05′N 15°11′E) consists of two small harbours, about 0. 3 miles apart, in front of the small town of Preko. Otočić Galovac lies close off the NW of these harbours, connected to Otok Ugljan by a narrow bank over which there is a depth of 1·2 m and by a submarine power cable and pipeline. A pier for the use of a car ferry, and marked by a light (white tower with column and gallery, 6 m in height), is situated farther SE of the town abreast Otočić Ošljak. Anchorage may be obtained, suitable for small vessels, NW of Otočić Galovac in 5 to 10m clear NW of a prohibited anchorage area. This anchorage is not recommended as it is completely open to the Bora.
