Sailing Holidays in Jelsa
Jelsa harbour (43°10′N 16°42′E), open NE, is entered W of a prominent headland. Near its head the bay narrows and leads W to the small town of Jelsa where there is a conspicuous belfry. The harbour is protected by two moles which project from the N and S shores. A light is exhibited from the head of the N mole. A light (red round tower, 5 m in height) is exhibited from the head of the S mole which projects about 90 m SSE from the N shore. Vessels may anchor near the middle of the inlet NE of the moles in about 11 m, not suitable in winter.
