Sailing Holidays in Poros Harbor

Harbor Pórou is protected from waves caused by N winds by a mole that extends E for 146 m, with a width of 6.3 m. Natural boulders have been placed alongside the outer side. From waves caused by E winds it is protected by a windward breakwater 245 m long and 15 m wide, of NW direction, which consists of natural boulders.

A part of its inner side, for 120 m from the root towards the head, has been widened for 32 m and is quayed. The entrance opening of the harbor, between the mole and breakwater, is 260 m, with depths of about 6 m. The inner coasts of the harbor are quayed for about 300 m, 50 m of which are on the inner side, W of the head of the mole, with depths of about 3 m. On the quayed W coasts of the harbor there is a ramp and depths of 3.6 m near it, to which ferries moor stern-to.

Inside the harbor there are depths of 2–5 m for the most part. On the S coasts, 150 m S of the head of the mole, fishing shelter has been built, with dimensions of 80×50 m and a W-facing entrance. It is protected from waves caused by N winds by a mole that extends NW for 75 m. Depths at the entrance of the fishing shelter are 2.4 m; inside the harbor they are 2–5 m for the most part.
